comment What's the escape velocity of Naked Singularities?
Imaginary escape velocity simply means that particles placed there will shoot outward to infinity (an another universe, perhaps?). The RN singularity is REPULSIVE. That being said, anything within the inner horizon isn't thought to be RN geometry, as "mass inflation" results.

comment Is it possible to increase temperature of sun using radiation of sun itself?
@Rob: True, a whole sun coverage would puff up and cool off. The asker was thinking to do it on a small scale, more like wrapping a finger in a thermal blanket.

You cant concentrate infrared radiation in a room of constant temperature to heat up one portion (thermo 2nd law). HOWEVER, the sun's surface is NOT in a constant temperature environment, it gets heat from hotter regions below. The mirror will make it hotter, just like aliexpress.com/item/…

comment How would a black hole power plant work?
You have a nucleus-sized-everest-mass object that is emitting 300 megawatts. It's hard to push or pull that since anything coming close will get vaporized. You can't put much mass near it to pull it. You can't charge it since it will be emitting electrons or positrons and in this way can neutralize itself. Maby magnatic monopoles (too heavy to be emmited by hawking raiation and self-neutralize) lol.

comment How would a black hole power plant work?
It's hard to reflect gamma rays, and even harder to get them back into such a small target.

comment What would happen if Newton's Cradle was made of other geometrical objects rather than spheres?
Cubes are hard to make "ideal" collisions with, in practice objects will be sent spinning and tumbling, causing the whole system to be damped down much more quickly.

comment Can open, unsafe nuclear fusion reaction burn the atmosphere?
Isn't the solar core, with it's low power density, another argument against an out of control fusion event? Any fusion heat would quickly dissipate without a thick jacket to keep it hot.

comment Fusion plasma compression with liquid metal
General fusion should have mainstream, sound physics given the large investment in it. If it "fails" that would probably be due to engineering shortcommings and/or competition from a natural fusion reactor (cheap solar PV). The physics is the easy part, it should have been worked out by not.

comment Is it possible to create artificial gravity by magnetizing iron in the blood stream?
@Huge Allen: A frog would not float in a 10T human-size magnet because the dB/dx gradient would be less since the magnet is larger.
