Mixed experience: mostly, I was a linux programmer. I did some brief forays into .NET. I have not gone the way of object-oriented programming...or pure, idiosyncratic cowboy-code. I'm more of a mixed methods programmer: whatever works best.
That said, I've had zero formal training...
I used to think I was an object oriented programmer...until I found out that Object Oriented programming literally means orienting one's programming around literal objects...then I figured out I was a function oriented programmer, wherein things are organized like math and physics.
Of course, I still think they are both objects...
