Is this a good explanation of the Higgs mechanism? Hm, the video raised another question in me, namely why do massless particles have to travel at the speed of light by default, but maybe that’s a separate question? |

Is 3+1 spacetime as privileged as is claimed? I find the analogy between spatial dimensions and layers of abstraction in protocols to be... questionable, if not wholly inapplicable. |

Why does burning magnesium explode when sprinkled with water? I don’t mind either way. I posted it on physics because I assumed it has more to do with pressure (expansion of hot water) than with chemical reaction. |
