The theory of moon creation when a Mars size planet hit Earth @KeithThompson So when the set the orbit of satellite they can't account for the drag factor? If the drag is going to slow the satellite by x, the satelliate speed should be simply stable_speed + x. |

The theory of moon creation when a Mars size planet hit Earth As for as stable orbits, when we set artificial satellites into orbits, don't they collapse into earth after sometime like Skylab etc? This is what I mean unstable orbits. |
