What is the difference between material fatigue test with 1 sec cycle and 1 hour cycle? That is NOT my point. I want to tell you that material can be broken under the ideal ultimate stress strength, maybe within elastic range. Have you seen that S-N figure at 1E+3 cycle? The breaking stress from 350MPa to 200MPa. |

What is the difference between material fatigue test with 1 sec cycle and 1 hour cycle? Please read the S-N curve of en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatigue_(material) . It only needs 25% or less of the ultimate stress of the aluminium to break that aluminium IF the test is using that stress for running 1E+7 cycles. |

What is the difference between material fatigue test with 1 sec cycle and 1 hour cycle? " For a metal piece tested under room conditions, the stress must exceed the elastic limit to cause any damage to the sample." I don't think this is right. |

What is the minimum wrap around angles of belt, timing belt and chain? I read the following in a book, but I am not 100% understand because it combines pulley and sprocket in a paragraph. "The radial distance for which the belt is in contact with the pulley surface, or the number of teeth in engagement for positive drive belts, is called the wrap angle. Belt and sprocket combinations should be chosen to ensure a wrap angle of about 120°around the smaller pulley. The wrap angle should not be less than 90°, especially with positive drive belts, because if too few teeth are in engagement, the belt may jump a tooth or pin and timing or synchronization may be lost." |

What is the difference between material fatigue test with 1 sec cycle and 1 hour cycle? Could you please give some examples? Do you have any figures from some experiment? This is a research direction question, so I need some data to support. Thanks |

How does the radius and length of a pipe affect vacuum performance? I want to know whether I can use dV/dt equation (mass flow rate of Poiseuille equation in my case) |

How does the radius and length of a pipe affect vacuum performance? Thanks for your reply. I am asking about "Poiseuille's equation" NOT "Bernoulli's_principle" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hagen%E2%80%93Poiseuille_equation |

How does the radius and length of a pipe affect vacuum performance? Your answer is assumed friction-less system and assume for a long flow. My case is a small volume. Please help. Thanks |
