Showing $ \textbf{F} \cdot d\textbf{s} = -dV$ is equivalent to $ F_s = -\frac{\partial V}{\partial s}$
Can someone please explain how the following
$$ \textbf{F} \cdot d\textbf{s} = -dV$$
is equivalent to
$$ F_s = -\frac{\partial V}{\partial s}$$
using some intermediate steps. I don't follow this ...
