If you are on the black hole horizon are you are actually able to stand some how without falling inside then you will not be able to lift your foot. A lot of work is going on on how to talk about what is inside a horizon. and I really am no expert to comment, But the view point called black hole complementarity, which appears correct to me, says that a freely falling observer will not notice anything special when he crosses the horizon due to the equivalence principle, so that observer will not see the insides of the black hole to be hot. It is more useful to talk about the mass of neutron star or the remanant after the supernova that forms a black hole, that is this limit called Tolman–Oppenheimer–Volkoff http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TOV_limit So what is mass of star that can form such a Heavy Neutron star. Wiki says that it is 40 solar masses and upwards depending on the composition of the star. |
