A square ABCD has charges $+q$ and $-q$ on the vertices A and C (diagonally opposite sides). How can I place point charges outside this square so that electric field lines are parallel to all the sides of the square.
note: This problem approximately simulates a square shaped conductor having potential difference between A and C (due to a battery). So, we've to place image charges outside this square to match the boundary conditions and solve poisson's equation. (Image method of solving poisson's equation)
