# Piezoelectrical effect in a pendulum

How can I compute the piezo-electrical effect of a pendulum of frequency $f$ and amplitude $R$? What constants of the material will enter the computation?

The material in question is an electrode on a vibrating membram. I need to compute the electric tension and the current, which are created by the oscillating membram (one direction).

I assume: no magnetic field.

Hi newbie to Physics.SE! At the moment your question is a little short of details what exactly you want to achieve. Where do you expect any piezo effect in a pendulum (I guess you meant pendulum)? For a piezo effect you need some kind of stress in a bulk material. –  Alexander May 30 '12 at 15:29
Is it now better? –  newbie May 30 '12 at 15:37
