When we are sitting in a moving train than nearby stationary objects appear to go backwards...in terms of physics we can use the formula velocity of object with respect to train=velocity of object- velocity of train
But at the same time far away object appear to move slowly in comparison to nearby objects ...like a distant pole...Here the concept of relative velocity seems to fail..why is it so?Does it mean that relative velocity formula is also dependent on the distance between the two objects??
