I mean for undergraduates and graduates on the follweing topics: classical mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, special relativity, general relativty and quantum mechanics.

Actually, David, this question does have a single correct answer: it is J.D. Jackson - Classical Electrodynamics. If you find it unsatisfactory for, say, undergraduate QM, well... you aren't working hard enough. ;) – wsc Jul 12 '11 at 7:48
